Cider Mill

The Cider Mill makes a nice afternoon for the whole family.  Our favorite mill is about 30 minutes from home taking the scenic route.  We take Hines Drive.  When the leaves start to turn, it is a great way to take in the fall colors.

When we arrive at the Cider Mill, the first stop we make is the doughnut window where customers can watch the doughnuts made.

Then over to the cider, made from the orchard's apples.

The cider mill is about more than just cider.   Apple pies, pastries, and apple dumplings look and smell so yummy.

Shelves of jellies, jams, butters and salsas also entice.

But the very best thing about any trip to the cider mill is drinking cider and eating doughnuts in the car on the way home.

Our favorite cider mill is Obstbaum Orchards, located near Plymouth, Michigan.

What is your favorite fall family field trip?
