Looking Back

We are living in a season of change.  That definitely reflected in our lives and in this blog.  Here is a brief look back - in pictures.  One picture for each month.  A wonderful thing happened when I went to put together this post: last year I wanted to do this, but I had not blogged every month of the year, so I made the resolution to do so.  Here is to resolved resolutions.

A Gift

So my wonderful husband comes in the house yesterday and presents me with this little thistle.  "I picked it for you." He says.  I gave him a raised eyebrow.  He answers "What?  Do you know how hard it is to pick one of those.  Just shows how much I love you."  Yes, I melted.

We Got a Car

Isn't it be-yoooo-tiful?  Now I know this looks like just a regular automobile, but this car is a game-changer for me.  Some of you may know that we have been a one-car family for almost {gasp} two years.  My primary mode of transportation has been my trusty bike and oh yeah

My two feet.  This car will allow me to make business connections and go to craft shows.  More importantly it will allow me to take homeschool field trips and take Zippy to enrichment activities {and I can go to the grocery during the day too - I know, it's the small things that make me really happy}.

Needless to say I had an abundance of emotions when this vehicle purchase actually happened. It kind of went something like this:

Crashed on the the Couch

What Happened This Week?

Here is the abundance of life from this past week:

♥ We went to a certain doughnut shop for free doughnuts.

♥ I lost 2 more pounds (woohoo) despite all of the baking and doughnuts.
♥ Zippy made banana bread

♥ Oh yeah and we went to the splash park.

♥ Little Dude loved the splash park so much he did not want to leave.

 

What Happened This Week?

♥ We ponder the question: What is an appropriate birthday gift for a 12 year old girl?  

♥ Zippy sleeps over.
♥ I gained .2 pounds (boo).

♥ Little Dude ate a blue marker. (It was non-toxic and he is fine).
♥ I got to see the husband play softball.

♥ Little Dude took a nap.
♥ We were woken by thunderstorms (really should have taken pics, but, hey,  it was 3 am)

♥ I did a little knitting.
