Why be Thankful?
Gratitude changes perspective. It turns us from small, selfish thinking. Thankfulness gives us a view of what we have with a sense of grace instead of entitlement.
Why be Thankful Now
It is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the holidays are a time of getting. Getting for others because they are getting for us, making the holidays a harried, stressful time. By taking some time before the Christmas craziness to focus on all our blessings it transforms the holiday from one of stress and strain to one of giving and appreciation.
How to cultivate an attitude of gratitude
Count your blessings
I am posting one thing that I am thankful for every day on Facebook and Twitter. Join me, it is never to late to start being thankful.
Share the gratitude. Ask your significant other, kids, friends, or just that guy in front of you in line at the coffee shop what is going right today or what are you most thankful for today.
Rather than thinking of Thanksgiving as just a day, think about stretching thanksgiving into a way to live every day.
